Family summer vacation, help?

My mom and me are going to visit the Grand Canyon, ( Mule ride and rafting ) So, after that, is there any other places to visit in Arizona? (That is close to the Grand Canyon, 'cause she don't want to buy a ticket and fly all the way to the Petrified Forest or whatever )
