Got a 94 mazda 626 V6 5spd model with 205k mi. the trans is starting to "kick" out the gears. 1st, 2nd, and 4th are fine, but 3rd is starting to kick out when accelerating and 5th does it too. if i hold the shifter in 3rd or 5th its fine but 5th makes a loud harsh grind sound when i hold the shifter there, sometimes in rapid succession (like a metallic crunch sound) someone said the syncro is busted then said the gear teeth are wore off, i dont know please help.

At about full throttle the engine makes a loud weird almost bogging sound and then i have to ease off the throttle. I was wondering if the engine could be running either too rich or too lean. Sounds like the needle and seat embly is varnished together totally closed. I'm surpised the float isn't stuck and the thing isn't spewing gas out of the vent. You'll have to pull the top of that Q-Jet and replace the needle and seat...probably tear it all to Hell getting that one apart.

If it's a made in China ATV it will probably have metric fasteners. Screws that size are cheap. See if you can get a few spares. For ones and twos they generally aren't worth doing the paperwork. The problem is you need a new needle and seat installed in the carb. It should be a walbro carb with a pressed in br seat, and the br seat will wear or chip over time, and it will slowly leak into the cylinder overnight.

1977 Jeep Cherokee Chief Carb/Idle issue after intake manifold replacement, Please Help!?

Replaced the intake manifold and gasket in my 1977 jeep cherokee chief 401 6.6l. Replaced stock with an edelbrock manifold and edelbrock carb. Now if i have the throttle body bolted on it's idling crazy high, and if I disconnect throttle body it surges at idle pretty badly. I checked for vacuum leaks everywhere, and I didn't see any. Any advice would be appreciated, I'm really frustrated, and I'm using this jeep as my daily driver. Thought this would just be a few hour project to give her some more power.

I just bought a 2007 Chevy Clic Silverado 1500 HD. It is a crew cab - 4x4, has a 6.5' bed, rhino bed-liner and tow package. One owner (a retired guy who seemed to take good care of it). 10 ply 35" tires with 5000 miles/6 months on them. The transmission was just replaced under warranty 2000 miles ago, and the warranty (power train) is still good till November. It has normal wear and tear scratches but nothing major - Cosmetically I would give it a B+ - I ran a Car Fax report that matched everything the seller told me. ( The report came up good). Asking price was $18,250, and I ended up paying $17,250. I've been keeping an eye out for a good deal for about 6 months now and I feel I made a good decision and got a good deal but was wondering some opinions? Was this a good deal or just average? NADA showed clean trade in was $18,875 with retail showing $22,475. Thanks

I recently bought a Prodigy 150cc scooter. I bought it from a guy who left it sitting in his garage for about 2 years. He said that he hadn't really drove it. It only had 17 miles on it. I had taken it to a local scooter shop to have it serviced and they cleaned the carb and put in a new spark plug. I put about 150 miles on it and it ran fine. One night after I had been driving for about 5 minutes i noticed that i was having trouble getting up hills. then I couldn't get over 25 to 30 miles an hour. What could be the problem here. The scooter has about 250 miles on it right now. It starts and idles fine, but when I try to drive just no power. The engine seems to be a little sluggish. It runs steady until I try to open up the throttle and then it starts to miss and cut out. Anyone have any solutions on what to do????

I baught a 1979 rm 250, the previous owner told me that he had put a new cdi,clutch,bearings,seals,and spark plug. after he had that put in the motorcycle it still wouldnt start so he sat it for 2 years and thats when i baught it from him. I have Rosacea myself. I was advised against laser treatment as I was told it often had no effect. I suggest you go to your doctor or dermatologist and have him/her examine it. I am currently on tablets and it is clearing right up. I have very little redness left on my face now. I am a guy but I have been told that some makeup products can actually make it worse. Also you may have to change your diet, try and avoid spicy foods, alcohol and caffeine. I personally find they can inflame it a lot.

I need advise on my retainers; please read my situation.?

Hello everyone. So I got my braces taken off. It's been months (I'm not sure how long exactly). Anyway, my orthodontist put me permanent retainers on my bottom but he refused to put permanent on my upper teeth as well because he said that my bottom teeth would break the retainers on top when i bite. So he gave me clear retainers for my top teeth and told me to wear them ONLY at NIGHT for not less than a year. The question is: I don't know if I should wear them night AND DAY, like not just at night, because I am afraid my teeth will shift. So what would you recommend? motorcycle backfire is usually related to carb/FI system and the exhaust system. you can try playing around with the carb idle , set it higher/lower and rev up the engine to see if it reduces the backfire (i know on mine, if i set the idle real low it tends to backfire). do you have an open exhaust system? if yes, try putting baffles on it (should reduce backfire).

As long as you are using more energy than you consume you will lose weight, even if you eat at night and exercise in the morning. There are many ways I could go into detail on this subject, but those are some basicguidelines for you. So in short, exercise in the morning is fine...just don't forget the water!

I think I may have hypoglycemia. I've had symptoms of this for many years but recently I was able to buy a glucose meter and have been checking my glucose levels for the last two days. It seems that in the morning my glucose is around 81-85 even after breakfast but before lunch it drops to the 70's and an hour to four hours after lunch or dinner it drops to the 50's or 60's and I feel sick and weak and hungry for sweets! I've also noticed that when I eat a healthier meal my blood sugar goes down faster...taking maybe an hour to go down, while when I eat sweets or high carb foods it may go up higher than usual to the 90's and then go down after maybe 3 to 4 hours? 84 Camaro EFI to Carb Swap?

I have a 1984 Chevy Camaro with a 350 in it. Theres a bad knocking noise coming from the engine compartment and I'm uming at this point its a rod knock, I have yet to verify but I have already dealt with valve tick w/this engine so the tone is completely different. So anyways I've been looking for a motor to replace this one, and I'd prefer to put another 350 in it with the bolt on mods I've got. I've only checked one place for a carbed or tbi engine and they didn't have any, They do however have several low mileage efi 350's. Now my question, How difficult is it to convert from EFI to Carburettor? Can I use my carb/intake manifold/distributor from the old engine? I am aware that there may or may not be a port on the block for a mechanical fuel pump whereas my engine now has a mechanical pump, regardless I am prepared to purchase a new electric pump. Will I have to keep the serpentine setup or can I swap to a v-belt? Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I did use a lot of carb cleaner in it, so I'm wondering if the problem is just a lot of stuff burning off. It does reduce when it's running longer, but it doesn't seem to stop completely. started last week when bike had been getting hard to start and slowly loosing power i feel or think it was tryd ride her today and took lil while get her started and started riding it felt as if back brake was dragging but wasnt and went crank her and felt as if she was a 450 more compression then it should have so i pushed it back to the shop went show my dad and it had freed up and kept kicking and it fired back up but shortly after it just straight cuts off doesnt die down slowly nothing just cuts off it hasnt been idleing it would cut off if i let rpms go down low. i did a compression check on it before i tryd crank her today she read 90psi pep say thats good on furums for it. could it be the carb is dirty ? topend shot ? bottom end ? oil not getting where needs be getting ? valves mess with way it runs thought in only botherd cranking it? which i think its something makeing it hard to crank and not the valves out wack?

Problems with my 78' Yamaha 175?

I have 2 questions about this motorcycle. I just bought it from a family friend with the carb off it, the carb needed to be rebuilt I put new jets and hardware on it and everything. I put fresh oil and new gas into the bike and I got it started after the fuel finally started flowing. But I can only rev it high rpms and at high rpms it likes to free run and just go wild. I can't get the rpms down without the bike stalling and dying. I removed the carb and checked the reeds, they look fine. I put everything back together and what do you know I have no compression? I don't know what happened everything on right. But now I have no clue what to do. Pull the motor out of it and see whats going on with it or what. For the people that say i need to clean my pilot jet its brand new and its the right one. Someone help me out. Thanks, Jesse.

Why is my chevy 283 accelerator pump sticking?

i have a 1967 impala with a all fully original from factory 283 with power glide. i have the original Rochester 2GV and we rebuilt it... about a week after the rebuild i felt the pedal freeze.so i gave it a harder push and my car went kamikaze and took off like a toyota. i shut her down and rolled into a gas station where i disembled the accelerator pump all together and i drove home. i had replaced the accelerator pump. when i first opened the carb up i saw the arm For the accelerator pump had been bent back and stuck. that explains why the pedal froze. and apparently when i hit it it stuck wide open. so i reembled the pump for it to only happen again. i disembled it and now im driving around without an accelerator pump. what could have possibly caused the arm to bend and keep me accelerating. is it the linkage put on wrong? please help.

Hypoglycemia? After eating food blood sugar drops?

I think I may have hypoglycemia. I've had symptoms of this for many years but recently I was able to buy a glucose meter and have been checking my glucose levels for the last two days. It seems that in the morning my glucose is around 81-85 even after breakfast but before lunch it drops to the 70's and an hour to four hours after lunch or dinner it drops to the 50's or 60's and I feel sick and weak and hungry for sweets! I've also noticed that when I eat a healthier meal my blood sugar goes down faster...taking maybe an hour to go down, while when I eat sweets or high carb foods it may go up higher than usual to the 90's and then go down after maybe 3 to 4 hours? Does this sound like reactive hypoglycemia?

When i went to check for the funds i couldnt get access to the funds> the accnt was in my husbands name so i couldn't do much. I emailed them and told them that the bank is holding on to the funds. immediately, they wanted me to tll the bank to get it back. Told them i coudltn do anything. two days later they said the funds were sent bank. The bank told my husband that there is an incoming transfer but he had other issues with the acct hence why the blocked any activity. I immediately went on the website and i couldnt log back in and neither did i receive any more emails from "Ann Smith". i went over all the emails and told my husband that they wanted me to be a money mule and wasnt going to pay me my salalry so i printed out all the emails given and my responses and made a report. When they called to find out what happened, they were calling from California and sounded foreign. Now the bank was about to release the funds when a compnay in virginia callled saying they were scammed many times. carburetor, or throttle body? You say it's a carburetor, but then mention changing the TPS, which is a fuel injection sensor. If it's a throttle body, i would suggest it's again something wrong with the TPS. Something else wrong, could be making the TPS fail. If it's a carb, could be something wrong with the accelerator pump, or off-idle fuel circuits. It may not be fuel related at all, could be spark related. I would take it to a shop, and have them hook it up to a lab scope, to see EXACTLY what is going on inside the cylinders.
