Is it normal for your eyes to go weird after wearing contacts?

I've been wearing eye contacts for 3 years now.. I noticed after like 7-8 hours of them in my eyes... I start to develop eye crust or whatever?? and become very weird.... And when i sleep and get up the next morning i can't open my eyes cuz its stuck with crust? but this only happens when i wear the lenses... is this normal?
