How is this description of a burial?

Wow. This is actually really good. Color me shocked! I'll admit, I skimmed some of it, but what I read, I liked. My one question would be, why are they burying the body in the sand? Won't it just come uncovered and float away in the next high tide or big storm? Maybe they could do it a little closer inland, so the guy's buried in dirt, not sand.
