What's the difference between regular carbs and quadrajet?

Quadrajet was just the name of Rochester's design, many manufactures have there own name for a spread bore type carburetor, meaning that the primary Venturi's are smaller than the secondaries for better fuel economy, put your foot in it and open up the secondaries and you can actually watch your fuel gage drop. cool huh?
