Is it weird that I made my own wedge heels?

I made them from scratch because I didn't like the wedges that stores sell; I think they make people's feet look big. I think they're a lot prettier than anything I could buy in a store and environmentally friendly because I used all recycled material. And granted they're not as stable as they could be because I had to make them from whatever I had, seeing as if my mom or sister knew they would probably laugh, but I can walk in them easily and balance fine. I haven't worn them out yet but I will next week. But do you think it's odd? Idk...should I tell my friends they're homemade?
