Would you ask for help if you could not read somthing?

at times i have had to ask someone when i im out to read the street name for example for me, i do wear gles all the time bit im waiting on new gles. Would you feel embarissed about asking maybe some one older than you who dose not wear gles to read somthing for you? Have you ever asked someone to read somthing for you? How did you feel at the time?
